Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively remove moisture from heating steam of high wetness by providing slits penetrating through a pipe wall in the fixed area on the outflow side of a bent flow passage and recovering drain through the slits in a pipeline transporting steam.
CONSTITUTION: In a bent flow passage 22 of a steam transport pipeline, slits 24, 25 are provided on the body side and rear side in the areas shown by θ=45° on the outflow side, and a drain passage 27 partitioned by an enclosure plate 26 is provided to the entire area of the pipeline forming these slits 24, 25. In the passage 22, the liquid films blown to the rear side and body side are allowed to flow through the slits 24, 25 into the passage 27, the drain flowed thereinto is discharged from a drain discharge port 28 to the outside of the system. Thereby, the wetness of heating steam flowing into a feed water heater is considerably reduced and the erosion of apparatus and piping is prevented.
