Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A gas is supplied from a gas source 28 by opening a valve 17 to a gas dispersing tube 14 provided at the lower part of the body 2, and the sludge accumulated on the bottom of the body 2 by buffles injected from air holes 24 of the air dispersing pipe 14 or adhered to a heat transfer tube 6, is caused to float. Then, with the closing of the valve 17, simultaneously valves 18 and 19 are opened, and a pump 21 is driven to suck up water within the body 2, and the water is discharged to a tank 15. By this operation, the sludge floating in water is discharged to the tank 15 through air holes 24 together with water.
