For example, an orthophosphoric acid is mixed with phosphoric acid anhydride and condensed under heating to give condensed phosphoric acid with a phosphoric acid content of 83% (as P2O5). About 85% of the free hydroxyl groups in the resultant condensed phosphoric acid are then neutralized with potassium hydroxide to give the aimed cold resistance improver.
