Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress emission of noise waves by applying a proper thickness to the top end of the rotor electrode of the ignition distributor and installing a silicon type dielectric sheet at one side of the end portion. CONSTITUTION:The rotor 21 of the ignition distributor is provided with an insulator 4 and a rotor electrode assembly 22. The assembly 22 consists of a rotor electrode 23 and a couple of dielectric sheets 24. One end 11 of the rotor electrode 23, facing a side electrode 8, is made thinner to a thickness, 0.1mm.-1.0mm., which at around the rotor center where a center carbon 10 is contacted a designated thickness is maintained. One of the dielectric sheets 24 covers the whole area of under surface of the rotor electrode 23 while another dielectric sheet 24 covers the top surface of the thinner area of the rotor electrode 23. A silicon type dielectric is used for the dielectric sheets 24.
