PURPOSE:To make durable a distributor comprising a rotor electrode and peripheral electrodes to which the rotor electrode is opposed across a minute gap and to reduce electromagnetic wave noises, by coating the spark discharge surface of the distributor with a silicone substance and exposing a part of the material of the spark discharge surface. CONSTITUTION:Among the top 16, bottom 17 and discharge section 12 of a rotor electrode 3, at least the discharge section is coated with a liquid silicone substance 13 such as silicone varnish. After the substance 13 is fixed by baking, at least one punched part 15 is provided on the discharge section 12 by a press or the like so that the metal of the rotor electrode 3 is exposed at 14. Since the rotor electrode 3 has such double structure and its inner material is exposed, a residual charge effect is produced by the silicone substance 13 without causing intermittent discharge, to reduce electromagnetic wave noises. Because the silicone substance 13 is baked after being applied, it does not flay away during the rotation of the rotor 5. According to this constitution, the durability of the rotor electrode 3 is heightened.
