Abstract
PURPOSE:To accurately stabilize the light output of a laser diode by so connecting a photodiode to the initial stage of transistors connected in a Darlington connection as to be reversely bias, connecting a laser diode to the final stage, and connecting resistor for supplying DC bias current in parallel. CONSTITUTION:A photodiode 6 is connected with reverse bias to the initial stage 1 of transistors connected in Darlington connection, a laser diode 5 is connected to the final stage 2, and a resistor 8 for supplying DC bias current is connected in parallel. Thus, a bias current is flowed through the laser diode in addition to the control current for controlling the automatic output, thereby accurately stabilizing the light output.
