Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent occurence of bubbles caused by contraction of a liquid crystal material and to obtain an uniform opening without lowering an injection efficiency by distributing and placing partly a microscopic spacer over an opening part between electrode substrates. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal is supported on an opening part between electrode substrates supported with a constant opening by a peripheral seal material 3 having a spacer and a spacer 5 distributed and arranged between electrode substrates 1a, 1b. The spacer 5 comprises glass fiber powder and adhesion to the electrode substrate is done by spraying with air via a mask like a pattern a solution obtained by mixing glass fiber powder of a degree of 10-50mg with isopropyl alcohol when the spacer 5 is applied on an organic oriented film, it is applied and adhered on the surface of the film firmly with force of a meniscus, so even when a liquid crystal is injected, it does not move in the opening.
