Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve a light-detecting motion capacity by enlarging a transmitance at a visibility area, to simplify a manufacturing process, and to reduce a manufacturing cost, by a method wherein 1 or 2 types or more of near infrared cut filters containing an organic infrared adsorbent are combined with a light-receiving element. CONSTITUTION:An infrared cut filter is produced such that an acryl or polycarbonate clear resin is caused to contain 1 or 2 types or more of color elements which are of a metal complex substance or organic salt and hardly perform an absorption at a visibility area and perform a powerful absorption at a near infrared area. The filter is combined with a light-receiving element, such as silicon photodiodes (SPD) to obtain a light detector. Self-exposure meters, cameras incorporating an exposure meter, into which the detector is built, are manufactured. Said infrared cut filter is soft, is easy to be formed into a thin film, and has a high transmitance at the visbility area, whereby it reduces a leak current through the reduction in the sensitivity of the SPD to prevent a malfunction.
