Abstract

PURPOSE:To replace the operation of a corona charger, by providing a photoreceptor consisting of a photoconductive layer and a conductive and electromangnetic wave transmitting packing layer, and a means which coates a one element magnetic toner layer almost on the entire surface of the photoconductor of the photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:A photoreceptor constituted with a drum type is formed with a transparent electrode layer at the external circumference of a cylindrical base 11 made of a transparent member such as glass and resin and it is rotated toward the arrow (a). A transparent electrode layer 12 and the transparent cylindrical base 11 constitute a packing layer of electromagnetic wave transmitting and conductive nature to a photoconductive layer 13. When the layer 12 is grounded, a positive bias is applied to a sleeve 31 and when a potential difference between a photosensing drum 1 and a toner coating roller is given, positive charges are induced on the surface layer of a toner layer T1, the toner is moved to the photoconductor and it coated, and a toner thin layer T2 with uniform thickness is coated on the entire surface of a photoconductor layer 13. Thus, stable copying image can be formed with high quality without using a corona charger.
