Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce the lattice body which decreases a cycle-deterioration of the battery, by making frequent ruggedness to be formed on the surface of the lattice body which is made by processing a lead alloy sheet or a sheet. CONSTITUTION:The lattice can be formed from a sheet made of Pb-Ca system alloy by the process of an expanding work or a punching work. In this case, at the stage of the sheet or at the stage of the lattice after being worked, particles having a moderate hardness are sprayed against the surface at a high speed like a sandblast or a gritblast. Thus, the lattice body for the lead storage battery plate whose surface is very rugged, can be formed by this blasting process. Adhesion of the lattice body with the active material becomes good, so that the capacity-drop (cycle-deterioration) resulting from the repeat of charging or discharging of the battery can be minimized.
