Abstract
PURPOSE:To form powder to high density, by pressing the powder while applying a magnetic field together with a vibration of ultrasonic wave, etc., when powder forming is performed. CONSTITUTION:When, for example, powder 4 of a permanent magnet or ferromagnetic substance is charged into a plastic mold 1 and the powder is formed, a magnetic field is applied by exiting a coil 5 and the direction of magnetic field is arranged in the left and right directions against the plastic mold 1. Then the easily magnetized axis of powder 4 are arranged in the direction of the applied magnetic field. simultaneously the forming is performed by the pressure of an upper punch 2 and a lower punch 3. Since a vibration such as ultrasonic wave, etc., generated by the oscillation of vibrators 9 and 10 is superposed to the pressure, the powder 4 can easily roll within the plastic mold 1 and the magnetic characteristic is improved.
