Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable accurate measurement of a watthour meter regardless of the rotating direction thereof by making normal rotation of the number wheel both for normal and reverse rotation through transmission thereof by way of a one-way rotation clutch, an intermediate wheel and the like. CONSTITUTION:In the normal rotation of a rotor 1 of the watthour meter, the rotation is transmitted to a gear 15 integral with a number wheel 16 via a one-way rotary clutch cmprising a gear 4, a gear 5, a stopper 9 and a ratchet 7 and an intermediate gaer 13. The rotation of the gear 15 is transmitted to an intermediate gear 14 for transmitting the reserve rotation identical to the intermediate gear 13. But the one-way rotary clutch made up of a ratchet 8 and a stopper 10 keeps it from transmission to a gear 6 the same in the number of teeth as the gear 5. The normal rotation to the gear 6 through the gear 5 is interrupted with the one-way rotary clurch from the gear 14. Likewise, the gear 15 is normally rotated through the gear 14 with the reversal of the rotor 1 without effect on the normal rotation system. Thus, accurate measuring can be done regardless of the rotating direction of the watthour rotor.
