Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent bubbles from passing a detector section and to prevent the malfunction of a detector by forming an air reservoir at the midway of a cooling water return pipe and installing a conductivity detector detecting the purity of cooling water on the downstream side of the air reservoir. CONSTITUTION:An air reservoir 2 is formed by transforming the midway of a cooling water return pipe 1 into an inverted U shape, where the pipe 1 is used to conduct cooling water to a water storage container 6 in a cooling water device from a rotary electric machine. The air reservoir 2 is connected to the upper part of the pipe 1 with downward slope by a connecting pipe 3, and a measuring device 4 for conductivity is installed at the part of the pipe 1 closer to the container 6 side than the air reservoir 2. In this way, bubbles mixed with the cooling water during the course of flowing in the pipe 1 are removed by means of the air reservoir 2 to prevent the malfunction of the measuring device 4.
