Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure an eficient cooling and greatly enhanced safety by a method wherein two points in a flowting cooling liquid are selected for temperature sensing and the difference between the two is utilized to determine the liquid quantity to be supplied, the size of supply dependent upon the size of the difference. CONSTITUTION:Liquid temperature sensing units 22 and 23 are respectively installed in a cooling liquid supply pipe 20 and an outlet pipe 21. Overheat sensing units 29 and 30 are installed on the external wall of a jacket 19 located near the heating element of the heating system and detect an overheat of the cooling liquid. A regulating unit obtains the difference between the temperature of the part of the liquid running in the pipe 20 and that of the part of the liquid running in the pipe 21 by using the signals outputted by the sensing units 22 and 23. A difference thus obtained regulates the flow of the cooling liquid. This ensures an economic use of the cooling liquid and electric power, preventing waste thereof.
