Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an ink jet recording device which has a magnetic fluid, held by a magnetic field generating means, on a part of an ink chamber connected to a pressure chamber or on a part of an ink supplying tube and designed to be capable of preventing jetting of ink and inflow of air due to mechanical impact, etc. CONSTITUTION:In a part of an outer chamber 4 of an ink jetting head 10 connected to an ink tube 13, a magnetic fluid 15 which is prepared in such a manner that magnetic particles of approximately 0.01mum in diameter are dispersed in colloidlike configuration is arranged, and an opening 18 is provided so that the surface which does not contact with an ink 17 and the magnetic fluid 15 can be exposed to air. And, the pressure applied to the ink in the ink tube 13 is varied by vibration of the tube 13, and in case where said pressure variation is a positive pressure, a function occurs to allow the pressure applied on the ink 17 to be absorbed by the magnetic fluid 15 held by a permanent magnet 16 on the middle of a nozzle 8, and in case where the pressure variation is a negative pressure, a function takes place to weaken pressure drop of the magnetic fluid 15.
