Abstract

PURPOSE: To obviate a bad influence exerted on a recording head because of mists by providing an ink mist absorber within the recording head.
CONSTITUTION: Ink particles jetted from a nozzle 23 hit recording paper 5 to record characters, etc. At this time, ink mists are produced in the opposite direction. The outside air together with the ink mists are absorbed into a case proper 10 from an opening 13 as shown by an arrow by the revolution of a fan 20 because the opening 13 is provided in the direction opposite to the recording paper, and the ink mists are removed by a filter 30. The outside air from which the mists have been removed is absorbed into the fan 20, before being discharged to the portion 16 of the first chamber. Then the mists are allowed to flow to a mist absorbing member 19 made of a sintered metal that covers the front of the recording head and then sent to a discharging portion. In addition, the mists are not permitted to flow into the chamber through an opening 14 because the outside air free from the mists are discharged from the opening 14. Thus the mists will not stain a polaroid plate 21, etc.
