Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the replenishment of ink while enabling jetting minimal drops for printing by a mechanism wherein a pressure chamber is so arranged as to be invariably communicated ot the inkwell and the outlet orifice through an inlet path and an outlet path each. CONSTITUTION:The inkwell 16 is communicated ot the printing head 18 through a communicating pipe 17. An electronic pulse generator 19 sends a pulse voltage to the printing head by way of a transmission means 21. At this point, receiving one pulse voltage from the generator 19, the printing head 18 jets one discontinuous line of small single ink drops through an orifice 24. The amount of the liquid is controlled by the energy of the pulse voltage applied. The printing head forms a pressure chamber 37 therein and with the application of a positive voltage, a pressure plate 41 is deflected into the pressure chamber so that a pressure is given the ink in the chamber 37 to jet a part thereof on the recording paper 12 through the outlet path 39.
