Abstract

PURPOSE: To accomplish a high-accuracy positioning with perfect independence from strokes of a moving shaft and thermal expansion, by a method wherein a plurality of imaginary origins are set on a moving shaft of a machine tool and are made to be dependent on the movement accuracy in a minute length of a ball screw.
CONSTITUTION: It is assumed that bored holes A, B, C are to be machined on a work 1 with a pitch accuracy of within PAB.PBC±5μm. A plurality of positioning blocks 3 are provided along a support rail 2 on XY-plane in such a manner that they can slide freely in the X-axis direction and can be fixed at any desired position.
