Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the machining accuracy of a work by generating a machining program by performing teaching taking a work as an object by a teaching device and performing a prescribed machining based on this program. CONSTITUTION:By taking a work 43 mounted on a pallet 3B as an object teaching is carried out by a teaching device 22 provided outside the range of machining of a laser beam machine 1 to generate a machining program PRO employed in machining the work 43. After teaching, the pallet 3B is supplied along with the work 43 to the laser beam machine 1 and in such a state, a prescribed machining is carried out based on the machining program generated by the teaching for the work 43. As a result, an operator is taught safely outside the range of machining of the laser machine. At the time of teaching, the relative position of the work 43 to the pallet need not be changed to carry out machining by a laser beam machine 1 and to improve machinig precision of the work 43.
