CONSTITUTION:After the surface of a base plate 6 made of nonmagnetic austenite stainless steel is polished sufficiently, soft magnetic films 7 and 7 are formed on both sides of the base plate 6, and on the formed films, hard magnetic films 9 and 9 made of cobalt chrominum having vertical magnetic anisotropy are further formed to obtain the titled vertically magnetized recording medium 1.
