Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the recording capacity equiv. to the recording capacity of a recording medium made of sticking structure so that overwriting of information is enabled by laminating a magnetic recording film having the Curie temp. higher than the Curie temp. of a magneto-optical recording film and the coercive force at room temp. smaller than the coercive force of said film on the above-mentioned magneto- optical recording film. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic recording film 5 is formed by using the magnetic material having the Curie temp. higher than the Curie temp. of the magneto-optical recording film 4 and the coercive force at room temp. lower than the coercive force of said film. Any materials which are used for magnetic recording media such as magnetic disks, magnetic drums and magnetic tapes are usable for the magnetic material used to form the magnetic recording film. These materials may be polycrystalline and amorphous as far as the materials satisfy said conditions. The magneto-optical recording film and the polycrystalline magnetic recording film having an adequate difference in the Curie temp. and the coercive force at room temp. are thus provided in two layers and, therefore, the writing of information on the magneto-optical recording film and the magnetic recording film respectively is possible. The recording capacity equiv. to the recording capacity of the sticking type is thus obtd. with one substrate.
