Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an element having large elastic compliance and piezo-electric constant by a method wherein a plurality of grooves or holes are formed to the piezo- electric procelain while being mutually paralleled, the grooves or the holes are filled with an organic high molecular material, an element body penetrating the grooves or the holes is obtained through cutting machining and polarization treatment is conducted in the sanme direction as the grooves or the holes. CONSTITUTION:The grooves with 22mm. depth and 0.5mm. width are shaped to the square bar of 25X10X10mm.<3> in dimensions consisting of the piezo-electric porcelain of Pb (Mg1/3Nb2/3)0.125Ti0.435Zr0.440O3 at the intervals of 0.5mm. while being paralleled with a side surface along the longitudical direction of the bar. The grooves with 22mm. depth and 0.5mm. width are similarly shaped at the intervals of 0.5mm. while being paralleled with a side surface rectangular to the side surface, and these grooves are filled with epoxy resin. Electrodes are each formed to both the surfaces of 10X10mm.<2> by using silver paste cured at the normal temperature, and polarization treatment is conducted through the application of the DC electric field of 2kV/mm. for 10min in silicon oil heated at 100 deg.C.
