Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an electrifying transfer type recording medium having a high reliability and capable of giving good transferred image by providing a layer containing a coloring component, a sublimable organic substance, and a binder as main components on the surface of a (semi)conductive supporter. CONSTITUTION:A recording medium 1' is obtained by providing a layer 11' consisting of 100pts.wt. a binder component (e.g. polycarbonate resin), 5-200 pts.wt. a plasticizer (e.g. dimethyl phthalate), a coloring component (e.g. carbon black), and a sublimable organic substance (e.g. 3,5-dinitrotoluene), having a volume resistivity value of 10<-2>-10<2>, on the surface of a (semi)conductive supporter 104. The recording medium 1' is closely touched with a recording member 2, and then connected with a return electrode 4. Then, electricity is supplied to the recording medium 1 in such a way that current signal from a recording voltage 5 applied is scanned through a recording needle 3, and by the magnitude of the current, part of the binder component is melted and an ink containing the molten resin and the coloring component is transferred to the recording member.
