Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a converter of superconductive code that converts a binary code comprising N bits into a decimal code of 2N bits, by using 2<1>-2N units of unit circuits which consist of the Josephson junction elements. CONSTITUTION:In the case of N=3, 2<1> units of unit circuits U3.1 and U3.2 are provided along with 2<2> units of unti circuits U2.1,-U2.4 and 2<3> units of units circuits U1.1-U1.8. As shown in the diagram, the connection is given among the outputs A1, A2 and A3 showing the 1st, 2nd and 3rd bits of a binary code, the NOT outputs -A1, -A2 and -A3, the current switch inputs TO and -TO and the outputs D and -D which are obtained through the current switch circuit of each unit circuit. Thus the decimal codes L1, -L1-L8, -L8 of 2<3> bits can be obtained at the outputs D and -D of the unit circuits U1.1-U1.8.
