Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the titled apparatus strong against vibration and to enable its precise height to be automatically regulated, by detecting that the vertical displacement of a seat has continued for a prescribed period thereby the height of the seat is controlled by ON-OFF control. CONSTITUTION:A pneumatic suspension 4 is provided between upper and lower suspension frames 2a, 2b, and an air feeding pipe 11 and an air exhausting pipe 12 are connected to the pneumatic suspension 4 via electromagnetic valves 9, 10. The change of the height of the seat is detected as 1, 0 signals by a screen plate 6c secured to the upper suspension frame 2a, a light-emitting element 6a and a light-receiving element 6b, and are sent to a control circuit 7, and when the height is low, the valve 9 is opened to feed air into the pneumatic suspension 4, while when the height is high, the air is removed by the valve 10. After the height has remained for a prescribed period, which can be detected by a counter (not shown) in the control circuit 7, the valves 9, 10 are opened or closed.
