Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect contact failure of an object to be connected and a tester in case of testing electronic parts, by connecting in series 2 pulse transformers between contacts of a socket, and detecting a pulse applied to one, by the other. CONSTITUTION:When a pulse is inputted from an input terminal 25, this applied pulse induces pulse voltage to a closed loop through a pulse transformer 23. In this case, when a lead pin 4 is connected satisfactorily to a pair of contacts 17, 18 of a socket 7, a closed loop of the pair of contacts 17, 18 and the pulse transformers 23, 24 forms a real closed loop, and a current flows to the closed loop. On the other hand, in the event of contact failure of the lead pin 4 and the pair of contacts 17, 18, the closed loop is cut off at that point, and the pulse current does not flow. Accordingly, whether the lead pin 4 and the pair of contacts 17, 18 of the socket 7 are connected satisfactorily or not can be decided by depending on whether a detecting pulse is detected by an output terminal 26 through a pulse transformer 24 or not.
