Abstract

The invention relates to an electronic trip equipped with a simplified test circuit. The test circuit 23 includes a pair of test terminals 24, 26 to which can be attached a fault simulator, and one-way conduction means VD13, VD14 cooperating with a measurement resistor R2 of a discriminator DDR of residual differential current. The reversal in the direction of flow of the test current (It) within the test circuit 23 arises through a simple change in polarity of the test terminals 24, 26, and allows separate verification of the operation of protection against overcurrents and the differential protection of the electronic trip 16. Application: multipole differential circuit breakers.
