Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve heating efficiency based on the titled device, by providing an electric heater made up of porous ceramics which is heated through electrification, on the inflow edge of exhaust gas of a filter component, in the captioned device including a heat proof filter component. CONSTITUTION:This particulate purifier 4 to be provided in an exhaust duct 3 is constituted by incorporating a filter component 42 in its container 41 and providing a porous electric heater 43 by keeping in touch with the inflow edge of exhaust gas of the component 42. The electric heater 43 is electrified by turning a relay 7 on with an output of a differential pressure sensor 5 through a controller 6 when collecting efficiency of the filter components 42 is reduced and differential pressure before and behind the component 42 is arrived at a fixed value. The electric heater 43 is made up of a porous plate 43a to both the edges of which a positive and a negative electrode plates are adhered, and the porous plate 43a is formed of ceramics which is heated through electrification, which is incorporated in a container 41 through an insulator 43d.
