CONSTITUTION:A torch 2 where a solid wire is inserted, is inserted between narrow edges, and the solid wire is used as a consumable electrode 3. An AC current is applied across a base plate 1 and the torch 2. A pulse voltage is generated from a pulse generating device 9 when the welding voltage is near zero. Then, an AC arc is continued without flux. Thus, an indefectible high-quality welded joint is obtained.
