Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the variation of ink droplet jetting characteristic by such an arrangement wherein a rectangular recessed part is formed on a substrate corresponding to a pressure chamber and the width of both sides of the recessed part in its longitudinal direction is made substantially the same as the width of the edge of a piezoelectric vibrator and the vibrator is adhered to inside the recessed pant. CONSTITUTION:On a substate 31, a pressure chamber 33 is formed by photoetching method, etc., and on the back of the substrate 31 in the place where a piezoelectric vibrator 35 is to be adhered to, a small recessed adhesion hole 31a is formed at a position accurately corresponding to the pressure chamber 33, and at the same time a pressure chamber wall 33a is also formed. The ratio, bp/bi between the width, bp, of the piezoelectric vibrator 35 and the width, bi, of the pressure chamber wall is set at such value that makes the efficiency of electricity-machine conversion the largest, and the piezoelectric vibrator 35 is positioned only by both sides of the adhesion hole 31a in its longitudinal direction and it is integrated with the pressure chamber wall 33a through a layer of adhesive such as epoxy resin, etc.
