Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a printer head which can readily be overhauled, cleaned and reassembled when its nozzle is stuffed by fastening with pressure substrates by means of pressing members that can be broken down without using an adhesive agent, consequently any possibility of an overflow of the adhesive agent. CONSTITUTION:In an ink-on-demand type ink jet printer, an upper substrate 3 and a lower substrate 5 each having smooth contact surfaces are placed in layers. These substrates 3 and 5 are fastened with pressure by an upper holding board 1 and a lower holding board 2 via silicon rubber 8 and a polytetrafluorethylene sheet 9 inserted in between the boards. A pressure chamber 6 and a nozzle 7 are provided in the lower substrate 5 by means of etching. Pressing force is supplemented by screws 10.
