Abstract

PURPOSE: To make position alignment of the original to the register position of a photoengraving material and achieve the improvement in the performance of contact printing work of the original by fixing the original to a flexible transparent sheet in performing vacuum contact printing.
CONSTITUTION: One end 2A of a flexible transparent sheet 2 to which an original 1 is fixed is detained to a print table 3 which is applied with a vacuuming means such as exhaust groove, etc. communicating to a vacuum pump. The other end 2B is held suspended beyond a squeegee roller 4 and a guide roller 5. The flexible transparent sheet 2 is then vacuum contacted to the photoengraving material 6 placed on the print table 3 while it is being subsequently pressed by rotating and moving the squeegee roller 4. Fixing of the original 1 to the flexible transparent sheet 2 is accomplished by affixing one end of the original with an adhesive tape which does not cause any position deviation and affixing the other end with an adhesive tape having stretchability. Such method facilitates position alignment of the original 1 to the photoengraving material 6 and enables the higher efficiency of the work to be achieved.
