Abstract

In order to fix a substrate onto the printing support of a printing machine, a sheet (6), covered with a thermoplastic resin layer (11) is fixed to a press-blanket (1). The temporary fixing of the sheet (6) on the support (1) is provided by means of a glue layer (10). Hence, the sheet (6) has on one of its faces the thermoplastic resin layer (11) and on its other face the glue layer (10). After a short laps of time, the retention force of the resin layer (11) decreases, allowing the removal of the sheet (6) and its replacement by a new sheet (6). Hence the retention force of the printing support is durably preserved.
