PURPOSE:To provide a titled detector of high accuracy having no adjusting parts in a device of detecting that the edges cut from the feed performation parts of paper for continuous printing or the like attain a constant amt., by using a preset counter and a detector for unit feed rates of paper. CONSTITUTION:In an edge cutting mechanism 14, paper 1 is fed by a paper feed mechanism 8, and its edges 17 are cut by slitters 18, 19. The edges enter a containing box 16 through a guiding mechanism 15, and the cut paper is discharged through a ticket issuing port 27. When a feed rate for one sheet of the paper conforming to the format of the paper is detected with a form feed detecting mechanism 9, a signal is transmitted to a counter driving circuit 11, which increases the count value of a preset counter 10 by 1. The rate desired to be detected is beforehand preset in the counter 10, and when the coincidence thereof with the count value is detected, a display part controlling circuit 12 is operated to light a display lamp.
