1316107 Knife guiding means H R TURNER 25 Aug 1970 [27 Aug 1969] 42550/69 Heading B4B An apparatus for use in cutting sheet material e.g. photographic mounts, comprises a transparent plate 9, 10 mounted on a base-board 2 and provided with a slot 6 for the guidance of a knife blade and means 5 for clamping a sheet of material between the plate and the board. The transparent plate may be made as shown from two sheets 9, 10 of plastics material separated by the width of the slot 6 and joined together at their ends; alternatively, the slot can be formed in a single piece of plastics material. The plate is clamped by knobs 5 screwed on to studs (3), Fig. 3 (not shown), against the action of springs 12.
