Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus applieable for both printing on a continuous form paper and on a single one by feeding a paper by widely accepted method for the former and only with a friction feed mechanism without operation of a pin feed mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A paper discrimination circuit 20 determines whether a paper indicated by the operation of a paper indicating key on a ticketing printer is a single form or a continuous form and transmits a type code to a central processing unit (CPU) 25. A control program and various control data are memorized in an ROM 24. The CPU 25 executes the control program in the ROM 24 according to the type of the indicated paper and a necessary control signal is provided to a motor controlling circuit 21 and an electromagnetic clutch driving circuit 23. The motor control circuit 21 controls the driving of a step motor 7 through a motor controlling circuit 22.
