Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve corrosion resistance and durability of running under high- temperature and high-humidity conditions by placing a base in an oxidative atmosphere of pressure and heating right after a ferromagnetic metallic layer is formed on the base by vacuum deposition. CONSTITUTION:While a base material of a high polymer material is transported from a payoff shaft 6 to a take-up shaft 7 along a rotary can 3, oxygen is introduced from a gas introducing port 8 to vapor-deposit a metallic magnetic material from a vaporizing source 2 on the base material 1. Then, the base material is passed through the oxidative atmosphere formed by introducing the oxygen into the space surrounded with a wall body 4 made of a seed heater, etc., and rubber rolls 11 and 12 to oxidize the surface of the ferromagnetic metallic layer.
