Abstract
PURPOSE:To elevate rigidity without increasing weight of a steel plate, by providing a deviation of thickness to the intermediate part in the width direction and the plate end, in the hot rolling process of soft steel and high tension steel, and also finish-rolling it in an austenite-ferrite coexistent area. CONSTITUTION:In the hot-rolling process of soft steel and high tension steel containing <= about 0.4% C, <= about 1.5% Si, <= about 2.5% Mn, and also <= about 0.1% 1 kind or more of Al, Nb, V, Ti, Zr, B, Cu and P, as necessary, they are rolled by selecting a rolling roll so that the intermediate part in the width direction of a steel plate has a deviation of thickness of 1.1 times or more, comparing with the plate end, and also finish-rolling is performed by draft of >= 5% in the austenite-ferrite coexistent area being <= Ar3 critical point and >= Ar1 critical point, by which a hot-rolling steel plate being excellent in flexural rigidity in the rolling right angle direction is obtained, and its rigidity can be further elevated by executing cold rolling and recovery annealing additionally.
