Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a large-sized cold rolled steel plate for forming with enhanced Young's modulus and superior rigidity by hot rolling a steel having specified contents of C, P, etc. under restricted conditions and by subjecting the hot rolled steel to cold rolling and recrystallization annealing.
CONSTITUTION: A steel contg. ≤0.02% C, 0.03W0.12% P, 0.001W0.100% acid sol. Al, ≤1.0% Si[≤0.06% (P%×Si%)]and ≤1.2% Mn as basic components and one or more among 4W20 Ti as Ti/C, 6W20 Zr as Zr/C, 4W20 Nb as Nb/C, 6W20 Ta as Ta/C and 4W20 V as V/C is refined. This steel is hot rolled at ≥Ar3 point finish temp. and ≥750°C coiling temp. The hot rolled steel is then subjected to cold rolling at 60W95% reduction ratio and recrystallization annealing at ≥700°C. By this method a large-sized cold rolled steel plate for forming with enhanced Young's modulus especially in a direction perpendicular to the rolling direction and high rigidity is obtd.
