CONSTITUTION:A detecting part 2 is provided near a material 1 to be examined, and flaws are detected by two pickup coil 3. In this case, two coils constituting blocks 1ch, 2ch, and 3ch of the detecting part 2 are divided to one left coil and one right coil with the center line of the material 1 as the boundary, and flaws are detected surely in accordance with the signal output state between coils 21 and 23 and between coils 22 and 24 due to the existence of flaws.
