Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a displacement measuring device with an improved SN ratio, by providing a displacement detector to a moving core of a differential transformer excited with AC and using a sum signal supplied from both outputs of the secondary coils in differential connection and synchronously detecting the signal difference. CONSTITUTION:An AC exciting power supply 1 is connected to the primary coil 2a of a differential transformer 2, the transformer 2 has a moving core 2c with a displacement detector 2b and an operation circuit 11 is connected to the secondary coils 2d and 2e. The circuit 11 obtains a difference signal C and a sum signal D from outputs A and B of the coils 2d and 2e. The signal C is inputted to a synchronizing detector 4 via an amplifier 3 and synchronously detected by using the signal D. Through this constitution, the difference signal is zero at the core zero position, and the displacement measurement can be made with high accuracy and an improved S/N ratio.
