Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the O2 partial pressure of high temperature steam from rising by the air in external space when a plant is started by a method wherein a feed water spray part is provided to the upper part of a degassing tray into which the high temperature steam is introduced from the lower end thereof and is partitioned from the external space by a partition plate having plural through holes.
CONSTITUTION: In a degassing chamber 2 provided to the upper part of a water storage tank 1, a feed water jet valve 5, a degassing tray part 6 and a high temperature steam pipe 11 are provided as well as the periphery of the jet valve 5 is partitioned from an external space by a partition plate 7 having through holes 13 to form a spray part 9. When operation of a plant is started, the feed water is sent to the jet valve 5 and, at the same time, the high temperature steam is supplied into the degassing chamber 2 from slits 12 of the steam pipe 11. At first, the major part of high temperature steam is directed to the lower end of the degassing tray 6 but, when condensing action of steam is initiated, the part thereof is directed to the spray part 9 through the external space A and through holes 13. In this case, because stagnant air in the space A is accompanied, the rising of O2 partial pressure of the high temperature steam affecting degassing capacity is eliminated and degassing capacity is enhanced.
