Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable exact reduction corresponding to a change in the concn. of SO2 in a gaseous mixture by detecting the temp. of the gaseous mixture at the inlet of a heat exchanger and the temp. of a gas at the outlet of a reduction reactor and comparing the detected values to each other to control the action of an outlet gas temp. controller to positive or contrary action.
CONSTITUTION: A heat exchanger 2 is placed at a gaseous mixture duct 1, and the down stream side is provided with reducing gas ducts 4, 12 and reduction reactors 5, 13. The temp. of a gaseous mixture flowing through the duct 1 and the temp. of a gaseous mixture flowing through a duct 6 are detected with temp. detectors 17, 18, respectively, and the detected values are inputted in a comparator 19. The comparator 19 compares the values to each other, and in accordance with the result the action of a temp. controller 16 is controlled. When the temp. of the gaseous mixture in the duct 6 is higher, a signal for making the action of the controller 16 positive is inputted in the controller 16, and when the temp. is lower, a signal for making the action of the controller 16 contrary is inputted in the controller 16. Thus, a flow rate regulating valve 15 can be properly controlled with the controller 16 corresponding to a change in the concn. of SO2.
