Abstract

PURPOSE:To maintain the cleaning performance of an air-cleaner at the high level for long term, by inserting a cartridge type aircleaner element dismountably into the air inlet of an aircleaner case for the engine. CONSTITUTION:A cartridge type air-cleaner element 1 is fixed dismountably to the air inlet 5 projected from one side of the casing body 6 for the air cleaner. Said element 1 contains a sponge applied with the machine oil or a vegetable fiber or a thin wire while the metal mesh is stretched over the opening for taking the air at the opposite side of a receptacle tube 2 to be fitted to the tip of said inlet 5. When providing the element 1 dismountably on the air inlet 5, the element 1 can be replaced quickly when the cleaning performance has deteriorated thereby the cleaning performance of the air cleaner can be maintained at the high level for long term.
