Abstract

The head for a vacuum cleaner consists of a hollow section from which protrudes the suction pipe (2) and at least one brush (3) movably fixed onto the section. The brush (3) is mounted on a support which fits into the hollow section, leaving a space (4) between the support and suction opening. At least one vent (22) is positioned in the brush support. The periphery of the brush (3) is held by a bar (6) set into the support. The bar (6) has a number of suction holes passing through it. The support has attached studs (18) which fit into holes in the main section.
