Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a data process in real time and to perform a picture process with a designation of a region through a simple operation, by reading optically an original, obtaining three color data from the read optical image and carrying out the process of color data based on other two data. CONSTITUTION:An original MAT is printed in two colors such as red and black, etc., and the region on the MAT is designated by a blue loop having a certain thickness. An optical image is read through an optical system including a light source SOL, an image forming lens LNS, a beam splitter BS, photoelectric converters PHB and PHR, etc. The bright and dark areas of the blue and red images on the MAT are detected by the PHB and PHR. The blue, red and black data DBU, DRE and DBK are delivered from a color discriminator DMC. The data DBU is processed by an edge detector EDE, a region detector DEA, a data selector SDT, etc. and applied to a data switch DSW. At the same time, the data DRE and DBK are applied to the switch DSW via line memories MRE and MBK. Thus the picture data is processed in real time.
