Abstract

PURPOSE:To absorb the shock energy effectively by extending a linear side bumper from the chasis panel at the front of chassis to the outside of a car. CONSTITUTION:The front side member 2 is formed linearly while equipped with the bead 25 extending longitudinally for predetermined interval in the longitudinal direction. Said side member 2 is extended from the chassis panel 5 partitioning the chassis front or the chassis rear face to the outside of the car. The bumper B is fixed directly to the bumper fixing section 18 formed at the tip of said side member 2. In such a manner the shock energy at the collision of the car is transmitted directly to the side member to deform the side member effectively thus to increase the absorption of the shock energy by the chassis.
