Abstract

PURPOSE:To evade reduction in rapid acceleration performance in an air conditioner which interrupts a compressor according to an engine load by connecting a temperature detective means to a load sensor and making the interruption thereof with the load high only when a temperature is lower than a little higher reference temperature. CONSTITUTION:At normal driving, an engine load is not great, a boosting switch 11 is kept open, and the second estimation circuit 22' is not actuated. An estimation circuit 22 only is actuated thereat to control an air mix damper via a thermistor 15, a fixed resistor 24 and a reference temperature setting variable resistance 17. With the load high, the boosting switch 11 is closed and the second estimation circuit 22' operates with the second reference temperature set by a thermistor 23, the fixed resistance 24' and a ''17''' of the variable resistance 17. Hence, when the thermistor 23 detects a temperature over the second reference temperature, the second estimation circuit 22' produces no output and the compressor is kept to operate. Although, if the detected temperature is below the second reference tempeature. The second estimation circuit 22' generates an output to turn a relay 18 on to open a contact point 18a. A freezing cycle is thereat interrupted for lightening the engine load.
