PURPOSE:To enable monitoring with bare eyes of oscillation luminous flux of a light oscillator by providing a light emitting substance which emits a visible light upon absorption of infrared ray of oscillation wavelength on a light emitting passage of a semiconductor light oscillator having an oscillation wavelength in 1.5mum band. CONSTITUTION:A fluorescent substance 4 in which 20-100% of Y stom is substituted for Er atom of a base of YF3, BaY2F6, NaYF4 on the light emitting side optical passage of a InGaAsP semiconductor oscillator 1 having an oscillation wavelength of 1.5mum.
