Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a wound core with good occupancy rate by a method wherein the radius of curvature at an angle section of a magnetic steel belt is alternately changed in long and short length for every layer and a gap is provided between each layer. CONSTITUTION:While applying tension to a magnetic steel belt 3 by a device 7, the steel belt 3 is wound by one turn along a spool 2. The spool 2 is stopped to operate a mechanism 8 and to bend the steel belt 3 passing through between molds 10, 11 at right angles and the first corner is made. The first corner corresponds to the first angle section of the spool 2. In the same way, while forming the second corner-fourth corner on the steel belt 3, the second turn is wound on the spool 2. After completing the second turn formed the angle section at right angles, the third turn having no corner is wound. After completing a wound core by alternately repeating above procedure, a layer gap G by a difference in the radius of curvature is generated at the angle section and the occupancy rate of the gap becomes small and the breakage of the iron core or the like will not expand at the time of assembling the iron core in a coil.
